
Reverend Norman Williams, one of six children, was born on St. Valentine’s Sunday morning to the Reverend Julian B. and Rosetta Williams. After the family moved to Dublin, Georgia, where his parents were natives, Reverend Williams joined and worked diligently at the family church, Williams Chapel Baptist Church. He is a product of the Wayne County (Detroit) and the Laurens County (Dublin) School Systems.
He is a graduate of the America College of Life Underwriters of Atlanta, Georgia. He also attended the Bryant Theological Seminary, Beulah Bible College and Morehouse School of Religion. Reverend Williams received his Bachelor of Science in Religion and Masters of Religion from Glendale University (Santa Fe, New Mexico). He also served on the Board of Directors of the “Homeless for the Atlanta Mission”.
Rev. Williams joined the Beulah Baptist Church in 1979 and was a member of the Alfonsa Campbell Gospel Choir. He responded positively to the desire to preach the Gospel and was licensed and ordained at Beulah Baptist Church.
Rev. Williams has pastored the Springfield Baptist Church (Washington, Georgia), the mother church of seven churches, since August 1995 . Springfield Baptist Church has appeared on the Public Broadcasting Network, and two books have been published based on the history of the church.
Rev. Williams is married to Mrs. Lynette Wells Williams. They have been married for thirty-four years and are the parents of four children: Oyo, Audrey, Morgan and Norman. Rev. Williams and his family reside in Fayetteville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.
